Erica Edwards receives two fellowship awards

Doctoral candidate Erica Edwards (UC Davis, Hydrologic Sciences) received the Loomis Fellowship ($6500) and the Bert and Nell Krantz Fellowship ($2800) through the University of California internal fellowship competition. The Loomis Fellowship is given to students who are conducting plant science research on agricultural crops focusing on one or more of the following areas: crop ecology, bioclimatology, modeling of crop growth, and physiological processes governing crop yield. The Krantz Fellowship is given to U.S. citizens pursuing a graduate degree in the fields of land and water resources or plant sciences as related to production agriculture, and who have demonstrated a commitment to pursue work in the area of agricultural development. Erica Edwards is working on remote sensing of water use and water stress on almond orchards and diverse cropping systems in CA small farms.
