CIL @ AGU Fall Meeting 2025

Erica Edwards (PhD candidate @ UCD), Andrew Gal (PhD candidate @ UCD), Jaya Suneja (MS student @ UW–Madison), and Mallika Nocco represented our group at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting. Erica gave her first oral presentation at a national conference presenting work comparing the canopies of small, diverse farms in the Central Valley to satellite-based remote sensing products in a session on water equity. Jaya presented a poster in a data science session sharing her work developing new remote sensing tools for assessing distribution uniformity in almond orchards. Finally, Andy premiered a new “three-source” energy balance model in an ET poster session used with drone data to separate cover crop and cash crop water use. Mallika gave a talk in a sci comm session about (you guessed it!) best practices for podcasting and her experiences working with Sam Sandoval and Faith Kearns on the Water Talk Podcast. It was amazing to reconnect with old friends and build new connections!
